Getting Started

RUN Powered by ADP® Mobile Payroll App for Payroll / HR Administrators
If you are already a RUN Powered by ADP Client, get the RUN Powered by ADP® Mobile Payroll app (iOS, Android) and then log in using the same user ID and password you use to log into the RUN Powered by ADP web application.

Activation
When your account is first created, you will receive an email that contains a temporary password. You will use this password to register.

Employee Registration
On the Login page, click Register as a New User. On the next page, enter your temporary password and click Next. Follow the instructions to complete the registration process.

Administrator Registration
On the Login page, click Register as a New User. On the next page, enter your temporary password and click Next. Follow the instructions to complete the registration process.

Please contact your company's RUN Powered by ADP administrator for assistance.

Forgot Password
Enter your User ID and click Next. On the Enter Password page, click Forgot Password? and then follow the instructions to receive a new temporary password. Once you log in with the temporary password, you will need to create a new permanent password.

Forgot User ID
Select Forgot Your User ID? and follow the instructions to answer a series of security questions. Then, your user ID will be displayed and you can log in to the application.

What To Do if You Are Locked Out
If you are locked out, wait five minutes and try again.

FastTrack Specialists have the following responsibilities during onboarding.

General

  • Provide remote support assistance to you in success planning development and implementation, and for the required configuration activities as detailed in the phase descriptions.
  • Provide available documentation and software tools, admin consoles, and scripts to provide guidance for you to reduce or eliminate configuration tasks, and success planning resources.

Initiate phase

  • Work with you to understand your intent, organizational goals, and usage plans for the service.
  • Work with you using Office 365 collaboration services (like Microsoft Teams) to begin onboarding.
  • Define which eligible services you want to onboard.

Assess phase

  • Hold a success planning call to provide guidance with you for successful user adoption.
  • Provide an administrative overview.
  • Provide guidance about:
    • Domain Name System (DNS), network, and infrastructure needs.
    • Client needs (internet browser, client operating system, mobile device, and services' needs).
    • User identity and provisioning.
    • Enabling eligible services that are purchased and defined as a part of onboarding.
    • Driving successful service adoption and value.
  • Establish the timeline for remediation activities.
  • Provide a remediation checklist.
  • Assess the existing SharePoint Server 2013 or SharePoint Server 2016 infrastructure including:
    • Prerequisites for SharePoint Online hybrid.
    • On-premises infrastructure readiness for SharePoint Online hybrid features.
    • Access to required SharePoint Online endpoints.
    • Audiences for OneDrive for Business hybrid.
  • Assess the existing Lync or Skype for Business Online infrastructure including:
    • Supported Skype for Business client deployment strategy.
    • Access to endpoints.
    • Connection quality.
    • Bandwidth estimates.
    • Prerequisites to support split domain server configuration.
    • Readiness of identified users to move onto Skype for Business Online.
  • Assess the messaging infrastructure, including:
    • Overall mail flow and routing principles.
    • Client access (including existing published client-access endpoints).
    • Source messaging environment for integration needs.
  • Provide data migration if the FastTrack Center data migration service is used and if you meet eligibility.

Remediate phase

  • Hold conference calls with you according to the agreed schedule to review the progress of the remediation activities and success planning.
  • Guide you through running assessment tools to identify and remediate issues and interpret the results.

Enable phase

Provide guidance about:

  • Evaluating progress on success planning and determining what further assistance you need.
  • Activating your Office 365 tenant.
  • Configuring TCP/IP protocols and firewall ports.
  • Configuring DNS for eligible services.
  • Validating connectivity to Office 365.
  • Connecting your on-premises Active Directory with Azure Active Directory:
    • Installing a directory synchronization server between your Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and Office 365, if required.
    • Configuring password synchronization (password hash) to Office 365 (Azure Active Directory) with the Azure Active Directory Connect tool, if required.
    • For single- and multiple-forest environments:
      • Configuring Azure Active Directory Pass-through Authentication, if required (not available in GCC High or DoD plans).
      • Configuring Azure Active Directory Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO), if required (not available in GCC High or DoD plans).

      Note

      Azure Active Directory Pass-through Authentication for multiple-forest environments is supported if there are forest trusts between your Active Directory forests and if name suffix routing is correctly configured. Additional agents can be installed on multiple on-premises servers to provide high availability for sign-in requests.       Note

  • For a single forest when federated identities is the target:
    • Installing and configuring AD FS for local domain authentication with Office 365 in a single-site, fault-tolerant configuration, if required.
    • Installing and configuring WAP for publishing your AD FS infrastructure to the internet, when necessary.

      Note

      For all multiple forests configurations, AD FS deployments are out-of-scope.

  • Testing SSO functionality if deployed.
  • Driving successful service adoption and value.

Compliance

Provide guidance about:

  • Remote assistance with Microsoft Information Governance (see Security and Compliance).
  • Remote assistance with Microsoft Information Protection (see Security and Compliance).
  • Remote assistance with Azure Information Protection (see Security and Compliance).

Exchange Online

Provide guidance about:

  • Creating or updating DNS records.
  • Enabling email routing between the source messaging system and Office 365 environments.
  • Configuring Exchange Online Protection features (including Exchange Online Advanced Threat Protection features if available in your subscription) and verifying your MX records point to Office 365 for all validated mail-enabled domains.
  • Configuring hybrid setup either between a single on-premises Exchange organization and Office 365 or between multiple on-premises Exchange organizations and Office 365.
  • Setting up Unified Messaging (UM) with Exchange Online (UM is not available in GCC DoD plans).

Provide guidance about:

  • Setting up user provisioning including licensing.
  • Enabling site creation for your SharePoint Online admin.
  • Planning site collections.
  • Securing content and managing permissions.
  • Enabling personal sites and social features.
  • Configuring SharePoint Online features.
  • Providing data migration if the FastTrack Center data migration service is used and if you meet eligibility.
  • Evaluating the on-premises SharePoint farm infrastructure configuration needed for SharePoint Online hybrid.
  • Using tools and automation to:
    • Configure on-premises cloud search service applications.
    • Configure trust between SharePoint on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Configuring on-premises SharePoint sites to use SharePoint Online hybrid features.

OneDrive for Business

Provide guidance about:

  • Identifying the on-premises SharePoint version and integration options.
  • Identifying synchronization and identity options.
  • Selecting a rollout option:
    • Just-in-time rollout.
    • Staged rollout (sequenced and phased).
  • Preparing the on-premises environment for OneDrive for Business deployment:
    • Identifying the correct OneDrive for Business sync client.
    • Configuration of DNS, network ports, and firewall.
  • Assigning end-user licenses.
  • Setting up SharePoint Online audiences to control and govern who gets OneDrive for Business.
  • Deploying the OneDrive for Business sync client to desktops.
  • How to configure SharePoint Online hybrid OneDrive for Business redirection (SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016 only).
  • Data migration if the FastTrack Center data migration service is used and if you meet eligibility.

Skype for Business Online

Provide guidance about:

  • Provisioning Skype for Business identities for Office 365.
  • Enabling online conferencing, instant messaging (IM), and presence features for Office 365.
  • Creating accounts to associate to supported room system devices (up to 10 accounts).
  • Configuring a split domain server environment to support Lync hybrid or Skype for Business Online hybrid scenarios (if applicable).
  • Enabling Audio Conferencing:
    • Organization setup for conference bridge default settings.
    • Assignment of a conference bridge to licensed users.
  • Enabling Phone System (not available in GCC High or DoD plans):
    • Enabling Phone System and Calling Plans onboarding (in available markets).
    • Assignment of numbers to licensed users.
    • Local number porting guidance through UI up to 999.
